Mr. Manzanares graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, DC in 1976 and is licensed in all Federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court, as well as all New Mexico courts.

Mr. Manzanares, in addition to his General Practice, is a former prosecutor and defense attorney and served as Town Attorney for the Town of Taos from 1990-1994 and also as the Taos County Attorney from 1995-1998.  He has also served as the contract attorney for various Northern New Mexico communities since 1998.

Mr. Manzanares is also an Associate Professor for both UNM-Taos and the University of Phoenix in both their undergraduate and graduate programs.  He also currently serves on the NM Supreme Court's Minimum Continuing Education Board, as well as on the Board of Directors of the NM State Bar's Section of Solo & Small Law Firms.

Colonel Manzanares served as the New Mexico Commander of the USAF's Civil Air Patrol from 1995-1999 and currently serves as their NM Inspector General. He holds a SEL certificate with Instrument rating and has logged over 1200 hours.
